Each CD in the "Sound Paintings" series was composed and performed and played in its entirety from beginning to end. The format and creative process is as follows: Each CD begins with three "Expressions of Gratitude" which reflect the imagination of the Composer/Pianist during a process of visualization. They represent three prayer forms: Blessing,Petition and Praise. Following that is the"Throne of God" meditation. This six-stage meditation shapes the events and and becomes the form of the visualization process directing the composition in a programmatic way. Each musical expression has its own life during this process, and each is followed to its destination in a natural way. Therefore,the length of each visualization and its corresponding musical section varies accordingly depending on the day,mood and energy present at each recording session. This CD entitled "The Journey"is the first of the series to be released. Five have been recorded to date.
